The EFCC, today, May 24,2016, declared a former deputy governor of Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore wanted. The former senator is wanted in connection with a case of receiving and misappropriating the sum of over N700, 000,000.00 from the Office of the National Security Adviser, between June and November, 2014.

EFCC Re-arraigns Oronsaye, Five Others For N2bn Fraud


The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on May 18, 2016 re-arraigned a former Head of Service, HoS, to the Federation, Stephen Oronsaye, before Justice Gabriel Kolawole of a Federal High Court, Abuja on an amended 35-count charge bordering on stealing and obtaining money by false pretence.

In the amended charge dated November 2, 2015, Oronsaye is being charged along with Osarenkhoe Afe, Fedrick Hamilton Global Services Limited, Cluster Logistic Limitd, Kangolo Dynamic Cleaning Limited, and Drew Investment & Construction Company Limited.

Redeemed Pastor Jailed Over N100m Land Fraud


The last may not have been heard about the lingering N100m land fraud that rocked Lekki Re-setlement Schemes in Eti-Osa Local Government, Lagos State, western Nigeria.

The latest is the arrest of Pastor Felix Olu Fadare of the Redeemed Christian church of God, RCCG, Fullers Field Parish in Ajah area of Lagos over his alleged involvement in the scam.

Appeal Court Expunges Part Of APC’s Petition Against Wike

The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja, yesterday, expunged some paragraphs of the petition that led to the annulment of the April 11 governorship election that brought Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State to power.

In a judgment it delivered, a three-man panel of Justices of the Appeal Court headed by Justice Datti Yahaya, struck out portions of the petition alleging that security agents were used to rig the election in favour of Wike and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

The decision of the appellate court followed an interlocutory appeal that was lodged before it by the APC and its governorship candidate in Rivers State, Dr. Dakuku Peterside.

Police Arrests Lawyer For Diverting Company’s N50m

The police in Lagos have arraigned a former director of IT Bureau De Change Limited, Mrs. Ifeyinwa Morah, before an Apapa Magsitrates’ Court for allegedly diverting N50m owned by the firm into a private account.

PUNCH Metro learnt that Morah, who is also a lawyer, headed the company’s Business Development till June 2015 when she was relieved of the position.
She was said to have withdrawn the money from the Fidelity Bank account used by the company on June 18 and deposited same to a Zenith Bank account given as 1000845723. It was learnt that the money had yet to be recovered from the suspect.
The police said the 40-year-old lawyer upon her resignation, left with the company’s Certificate of Incorporation, Memorandum and Articles of Association, forms on particulars of directors, statement of share capital, operational licence, among others.
